The parties:

NSE
CDC
sense

The summing up of the Inquiry took place on 3 August 2005. The order of presentation was reversed from the main body of the Inquiry, so sense went first, then CDC and finally the NSE.

On the morning of the final day it was learnt that an appeal on a very similar ‘enabling housing estate’ application by the NCYPE (National Centre for Young People with Epilepsy) in the Green Belt south of London had been rejected by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minster. They too have a good cause that should be self-funding. Interestingly, they too used several of the same paid experts as the NSE in presenting their case. All parties referred to this in their closing addresses.

sense's barrister estimated 45 mins and took approx. 40 mins. We think she was focused and delivered an effective summary. Mr. Bird, for CDC, estimated 1hr 20min and took 1:22.  The NSE barrister estimated 2hrs 30mins and took 3 hours.

The texts of sense's presentation and that of CDC are available below as pdf's:
sense     (1Mb)
CDC        (2Mb)

At the time of preparing this Web page, no-one at sense had had the time or inclination to convert the NSE's presentation into a downloadable format.  If anyone is interested in it they should perhaps approach the NSE directly.
