Chalfont Common Sense

sense was formed by concerned members of the Chalfont St. Peter community when the NSE announced in July 2003 that it was seeking planning permission to sell of a large part of its Green Belt site to property developers.

After reviewing their proposals sense decided to oppose the NSE's plans as did the local planning authority, Chiltern District Council (CDC). The NSE appealed this decision to the Planning Inspectorate who upheld CDC's decision in November 2005.

Details of the original proposals are available on sense's Archive Website.

The sense Website now addresses NSE proposals since November 2005.
